Advocating Change
As we move to a New Year Times Up UK will prioritise its work on Black Equity. A few years ago Time’s Up UK advocated change across all broadcasters in moving to end all white writing rooms and there are now many more writers from the global majority commissioned although still not enough.
In 2023 Time’s Up UK partnered with the BFI, British Black List and others in supporting Black women producers to further access the film marketplace. There is significant work to be done in this space and we are developing ideas with others which we will be announcing in the New Year.
